How to Clean A Bathroom:

When it comes to cleaning my bathroom, I approach it with a thoughtful and almost sacred mindset. The bathroom is where we engage in our most private moments, get ready for important occasions, and sometimes even cry. So, it deserves special treatment.

My cleaning ritual begins by picking up any clutter or garbage from the floors, creating a clean slate before things get too wet. I also take the time to sweep up any loose hairs, knowing they're much trickier to clean when wet.

Next, I remove any rugs, preferably ones that can go straight into the washing machine. Hand towels and other machine-washable items follow suit. I then carefully relocate any bathroom items stored there, such as hair products, makeup, and razors, ensuring I can thoroughly clean all surfaces.

Working from top to bottom is crucial in my approach. This method prevents dust and dirt from settling on already cleaned areas. Starting with the mirror, I use a mixture of Sal Suds and water to wipe away spots and fingerprints. Heres a dilution cheat sheet from the official Dr. Bronners website! Surprisingly, Sal Suds works wonders on glass and mirrors – a tip I'll share more about soon. I proceed to wipe down the vanity and sink, paying attention to shine up the faucet and handles. Lower cabinets are next, as they tend to accumulate toothpaste or water stains.

Moving to the tub, I pre-treat it with my Sal Suds and water mixture and use a non-abrasive scrubber like Scrub Daddy to tackle grime. If the shower door is glass, it gets a wipe-down with the same mixture. After a good scrubbing, everything gets rinsed down. Finally, I turn my attention to the toilet, cleaning it top to bottom, inside and out. Lifting the lid is crucial for a thorough clean.

Putting everything back in its place follows suit. But we're not done yet! My favorite part is the post-cleaning ritual – a simple and meditative moment. After vacuuming, I create silence, setting intentions while I mop with Grove multipurpose cleaner. Once the floor is dry, I can replace the rugs.

With everything now sparkling clean, I take a moment to admire myself in the mirror and say, "I did that!" It's a satisfying accomplishment, and perhaps a reward is in order – like a relaxing bath in my freshly cleaned bathroom!
